Approach to Therapy

In my therapy practice, I highly value creativity, collaboration, connection, open-mindedness, humor and warmth. Using these values as anchors, I work to ensure my clients feel understood, validated, uplifted, and challenged.

The therapeutic relationship with clients is a highly valuable part of growth in therapy and my approach integrates contemporary psychotherapies to provide you with the most effective path to healing. I integrate Humanistic principles of genuineness and empathy with mainly Cognitive Behavioral therapy and Acceptance and Commitment therapy, so that I can offer the best evidence-based practices in the field of psychology. What that means is that you can expect to be treated with compassion and non-judgment while being supported with a straight-forward, practical strategies. There is no one-size-fits-all approach to therapy. I will always provide an in-depth assessment of your specific situation and work with you to create a unique treatment plan in order to meet your goals.

My therapeutic approach is also heavily informed by trauma-responsive care, intersectionality, social construction of the perinatal experience, and social systems. In other words, I consider a multitude of factors, both internal and external, that may be impacting your experience and path to healing.
